What the hell are you talking about? DIESEL ENGINES do not have spark plugs!

superduty front wheel bearings what?

Cheap cars with huge price tags. All their cars look the same, homely, sad, and cheap.

Hybrid explorer only gets 22mpg? LOL

What has ford came out with lately that is good?
The Fusion/Milan, Edge and Taurus have all scored as high or higher in quality tests vs Honda, Toyota & Nissan.

These are not the initial quality tests, that really prove nothing.

These tests have spanned a two year time frame.

Even Consumer Reports, who usually only recommends Japanese cars has highly rated them.

What exactly are you basing the prices on? Have you actually compared MSRP's?

Fords pricing matches those of Nissan & Toyota vehicles. Honda's historially have always been more expensive.

If you're gonna rant, you better do some research first and be able to post sources where you found all your info.

Not ranting, just stating facts.

2 year tests? so they are good for the first 50k miles? What about the next 150K miles that hondas and toyotas normally still have hardly any problems? I see so many taurus's on ebay with bad trannies its almost funny.

Do you think the fusion, edge, and taurus look good? I know I wouldn't want to be seen in one.

Also it is not completely about what car has less problems, or lasts longer, etc. It is also about customer care. How many people have you heard of that had problems getting stuff covered under warranty threw ford? I have heard of many people complaining that ford will look for any reason what so ever so they don't have to cover warranty work. Honda, toyota, and bmw don't do that, they take care of their customers.

It was $47K with me picking it up in California, $49K delivered, but that is with my discounts from Ford and Roush. The one I looked at has a tag of $65,500 delivered.

And I have drove a demostrator. It will tear the Vette a new ASS!

Since the Fusion/Milan and current Taurus/Sable have only been available for two years, it would be kinda hard to test them any further back than that.

Six months ago, if you had looked in my garage, you would have seen a 2006 Nissan Titan on one side, a 2005 Nissan Murano on the other side.

Today, there's a 2008 Edge on one side, a 2008 Fusion on the other side.

Any more questions?

I'm not crazy about the styling of ANY new vehicle, most are butt ugly...some are more butt ugly than others.

GM has produced, IMO the butt ugliest cars/trucks of all.

The Chevy's with their blunt front ends, look like they were born on their noses, the Pontiac Aztec is just AWFUL.

The stern of the Buick Lucerne looks to be missing something...like styling for example, as it's just one square blob.

The Lucerne's taillights look like they were placed in their locations as an afterthought.

The Buick LaCrosse and Lucerne's grilles are out of proportion to the rest of the front end. If they were any further back, they could do double duty as cowl vents.

All the Buicks look like they've just come from an all-you-can-eat buffet. Plump ain't the word for their styling, these piles are obese!

The Saturn Vue..yuk...it swoops up in the middle, droops on each end like an old nag.

Pray tell, which new vehicles would you select from the current crop as being styling masterpieces?

Compared to the born on their noses Chevy's, the obese Buicks, the butt ugly Saturns and the rest of the GM piles, the electric shaver grille that Ford has adopted, doesn't come across that bad.

I agree that allot of the autos today are ugly, I for one really hate the look of fords new 'electric shaver' grille. Especially on the new lincolns

Not being biased tward imports but I do however like the way some of the new imports like honda, bmw, audi, etc. look.

And what happens when you get tired of fixing the usual British vehicle problems with their Lucas Electronics that fail before you start the engine.

The cork engine/trans gaskets that leak like sieves.

The rust that sets in beginning on day one, because the Brits haven't discovered inner fender liners yet.

The Lotus has one of the worst resale values, and is a limited market vehicle.

You can't say that about the 'Stang and the 'Vette.

Compared to the Lotus, these two cars are light years ahead in overall quality and reliability.

One other point or two about the Brits. They always use 6 bolts when 2 will suffice, and you'll need to buy Whitworth sockets/wrenches to work on the beasts.

The elise is ALL aluminum minus bolts, so no rust. Also I believe they have switched over from the cork, to more modern rubber and teflon embedded gaskets along with O-rings.
