It's really not that big of deal, before the war, we didn't know what he had planned for the jews. We stll have dealings with Russia and Putin and there not much better. It's what Hitler did to the jews that was unthinkable and unforgivable. However dealing with dictators is something we do all the time. If Hitler wouldn't of tried to eliminate the jewish population, he or Germany wouldn't of been looked on near as bad. Japan and thier dictator at the time get a free pass and they attacked us first. I've heard Henery didn't care for the jews either, but I dout if he would of put 6 million of Gods own in a furnace. That is over the top for what one human is capable of doing to another in modern times on just a horrific scale. Who could of even thought.........?

FDR, Stalin and others knew exactly what Hitler was doing with the Jews, long before the war began. The news was kept under wraps from the general population till the camps were first liberated in late 1944. Don't forget, Russia & Germany signed a non-aggression pact in 1938, secretly dividing up Poland between them in the process.

Several months after the attack on Poland ended, the Russkies rounded up ALL 5,000 members of the Polish Officer Corps, took them to Katyn Forest and MURDERED them.

Hitler killed at least 6 million Jews, and this figure is from the records the SS kept. Estimates are there were, at least, another 5 million killed, because the SS destroyed some of the records in the waning days of WWII.

The gas chambers were not implemented till 1941, previously the Jews were gassed in "Mobile Gassing Vans" before that, they were shot, or buried alive in mass graves.

Hitler also ordered the death of Gypsies, Communist sympathizers, the mentally ill, the physically unfit, Catholics, Protestants, other religious groups, and anyone else who disagreed with his policies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Germany attacked the US first, not Japan.
In November 1941, a U-Boat torpedoed and sank the Destroyer USS Reuben James in the Atlantic, another U-Boat torpedoed and badly damaged the Destroyer USS Kearney off the coast of Iceland.
Why didn't FDR do anything, besides protesting to the German Gov't? Politics.
When FDR went before Congress on Monday, 8 December 1941 and declared..."Yesterday, December 7th, 1941...a date which will live in INFAMY..." we were not at war with Germany or Italy.
It wasn't till 10 December 1941 that the Germans & Italians declared war on the US. And the only reason they did so, was because FDR tricked Hitler into declaring war.
Hitler was never made aware of Japan's plan to attack Pearl Harbor. He found out from news sources after the attack began. He was not only shocked, but flabbergasted.
Some people in Hitler's "Inner Circle" said that with the US in the war, Hitler realized Germany was now going to lose the war that he started.
Emperor Hirohito was not a dictator and had little to do with running Japan's affairs. The Japanese government was actually controlled by the army.
One of the sticking points that the Japanese Gov't had with the Allies when discussions were underway to end the war, was..
What would the fate of the Emperor be?
MacArthur made it plain: "They can keep their emperor, but he will take orders from us!"
Wendell, your post brings up another question.
How do you know that "The Jews are God's Own?"
Well, we've gone from a heated argument about Ford building what we want to unions to an automotive history lesson to the battle of the Mensa's to who has the biggest library to WWII to Jews. I'm partly to blame as I chimed right in there too.
Anyway, I was at the local dealer today and they have NO '08 F-150's left. They have six '09's. The only one worth considering is an FX4 with all the bells and whistles, $41k. I was flabbergasted at the $3400.00 price tag for the FX4 luxury package.
The best deal locally is an '08 SD with employee pricing. A 50k SD can be had for 38K with out even asking for a discount. Why in the hell would I pay even close to 41K for an F-150?
Jordan, Welcome to the FTE "Crazy" Forums. It may start out as one thing, then get sidetracked, then twisted, then turned upsidedown and then go back. No one can figure out why the threads do that. It just happens. Just like the disease that diesel owners have called PMS and it does not relate to a lady.
Thanks
Besides that, were all Gods own, even the Germans. Thats why it makes no sense that man could do that to one another. Thats worse than slavery, another dark blot on human history. Again we kill millions of inocent unborn babies every year, so are we really any better in the 21st century?
I'm going off memory here, Sync, power heated signal mirrors, power heated seats, 3.73.1 Locker (standard with FX4), a very attractive interior layout, this one had black leather captains seats and a leather wrapped steering wheel, a console shifter and a few other small goodies that I may have missed. Sorry for that. 4 door with 6.5' box. Very sweet layout.
Oh and I forgot to mention that the '09 4x4 with the 5.4L and the 3.73 axle is rated at a respectable 18 mpg highway.
I think I got 19 mpg once out of my '88. I'll take 18 all day long.
A quote from "Ken's Signature."
Only religious books are pronounced infallible on the strength of the contradictions they contain
Which is so true!
