first, i'd try to find somebody with a scanner and check for any possible codes. if nothing then i'd pop the vc's off and inspect. definatly crnak it by hand, if she's stiff then remove the glow plugs and see which hole has the fuel in it.

FWIW, a 'Stuck' injector to me means the P&B are jambed together which means the injector simply won't fire. No other symptoms other than a miss.

If a nozzle splits, then it'll pump fuel into the cylinder all the time whether or not the cylinder can burn it. This casues a slight miss and the truck smokes quite a bit of white smoke, but once the motor shuts off, there's no more fuel being pumped so it doesn't hydrolock the motor. I have worked on several trucks with split nozzles and this has always been the case, but I guess anything is possible. It would be new to me.

My money is on bent push rods or broken rocker arms, most likely push rods. I have read this happen quite a bit over the last 6 months and I'm beginning to wonder why...

i had one rocker that seemed a little off when i changed them. I think it got damaged when a mushroomed gp dropped in w/o knowing and jammed in top of piston. I didnt see any wear after 15,000miles so figured it was ok.
I guess im pulling vc this weekend and if cant find anything ill get someone to trailer me home

no not yet its snowing/ raining here and i dont have a shop. I think i will have access to one on sunday.
It worked out pretty good. My buddy that lives in allentown was going to bring trailer up but only had an 18' which is too short. turns out he was in baltimore county today looking at a bale bandit. So he is stopping by the farm on his way back to pick up one of our extra truck and trailers and bring it up with his truck loaded saturday night. So now he gets his truck up here and i have our truck and trailer to get mine back and i dont have to wait for him to finish his finals or make him come an extra hour south

I would think that its a possiblity becuase if the o-rings aren't seated correctly then they aren't making a good seal and keeping the fluids seperated. But that being said I am in no way shape or form an expert in this field, just what I think.

i'm not either. someone else had lots of smoke and a little knock and turned out a loose injector. I dont think its this since i torqued mine 3 or 4 times before i put it al back together and have drop 1500 miles on it.

ya i would think that a loose injector would show up a little faster than that.

loose injector would cause the copper washer to blow and let the combustion gases into the injector passages, the pressure would force the oil and fuel to mix for one, and if bad enough it can cause the misfire and can also force the fuel out of the passages.

Im not too proud i'll run or be pulled but what ever I can get. But i will say the OBS fords with captains chairs are the most comfortable truck out there to be in. And if you through air ride under the seat there is no way any of these new trucks could match the confort
