hooking up satellite radio in truck

I had heard the radio in my 06 stx is satellite radio compatible. Do i have to install a tuner or anything like that before i subscribe to sirius?

Sat compatible means you need a sat tuner. Do you have the little black antenna on the truck? You may want to ask this on the electronics forum.

Like shorebird said you'll have a black box looking antenna just back of the front windshield or you can tell by the radio itself. Should have sat.1 - sat.2 button on the radio face somwhere. But from my experience don't go through siris and buy the junk they sell at radio shack. I've had 3 of them in 4 years, if I had it to do again I'd buy an indash compatable radio for 2 or 3 hundered and be done with it.
