Im looking at a 2003 King Ranch with the 6.0 powerstroke in it, and wanna do some small town sled pulls, but keep it street legal and reliable. The truck has Magnaflow 4inch turbo back exhaust into 6 inch Grand Rock Stacks and the Bully dog triple dog downloader with outlook monitor and guages. Whats else can be done to make it a bigger threat at the pulls, but reliable enough to drive to work everyday? Thanks yall. Also whats the best pullin tire? Its lifted 6.5 inches right now, Id be slapping on traction bars, and new tires. Its got 37x12.5 swamper ssr's. Whats everyone pulling with?

You can run but you cant..........
Oh hell you cant even run.
Ask the same question up in the 6.0 diesel section. Ditch the bully dog and look for better tunes. SCT is a popular one with the 6.0. Also invest in some head studs, since the bolts are a weak link on that motor.
I have the SCT on my 05 Excursion and run it on the race tune all the time unles I tow my car, I think 150 hp more. I've run it on the 1/4 a few times with no problem. I bought the truck new and have had the tuner on it since its had about 12k miles on it now have 87k on it. Only problem I had was pushing coolant out the bottle when towing due to a clogged egr cooler. The dealer cleaned that and all is well again.
I don't have a egt gauge so I don't know what those are when I dragged it. And don't know much about pulling like how long the pull lasts. My 1/4 times where 14.6 seconds long. My truck is completely stock except for the tuner.
