What the biggest susp. lift for a '78 f-250 supercab 3/4 ton?? i am lookin for a 9" but so far it's lookin like i am going to have to settle for a 6" from skyjacker. Check out my pictures in my gallery and give me some opinions if u need better pics give me a hollar

i would think that at least someone makes an 8, did you check every where. try 4wheelparts.com they have a list of a lot of lifts. or you can always get a custom lift done.

 

The biggest lift I've seen listed for a 78 F-250 is 6". It is made by Skyjacker. Saw it listed in their catalog, couldn't find it on their website. Cu$tom lift $pring$ can be pretty expen$ive, anywhere from $300-$600 a pair. National Spring would be the place to go if you want custom springs built. It all depends on how high you want to go and how big of tires you want to use. That's a nice looking truck. If you are dead set on 9" of lift you could always use a 3" body lift with a 6" suspension lift. Should only have to lift the cab if you got a flat bed on it. With just 6" of lift, 38's should fit nice under there.

Yeah, me too. I checked in my Superlift and Skyjacker catalogs and the most lift I could find was 6", made by Skyjacker. Superlift didn't even list one for that model truck. And neither does Trailmaster.

 

the sky jacker lift is the only one i have seen which is 919 for the system. someone told me along time ago not to go with the kit cuz it taks way longer and a lot harder. Thanks guys

I have the 4 inch kit on my truck, took less then a day to put it on. I should have gone with the 6 but ohwell. I got the kit because i wanted the new rear springs, but its up to you. 6inches is the biggest ive seen for the old 250s. You can always build longer brakets for the front springs and do a shackle flip on the back springs

as mentioned above... national spring will make you as big of a lift as you want.

Systems include new rear springs, kits include blocks to lift the rear. IMHO, blocks suck. I'd rather pay the extra $ for rear springs.
Both the kit and system should include everything needed to install the lift except shocks.

 

rough country andskyjacker re theonlyoneswho makeliftsfor it, and the biggest you can buy is 6 inch, if you get custom springs done, or whatver to go higher, you are going to have to do something to correct the steering, with the 6 inch you gotta have the drop draglink and pitman arm, i guess you could either get a block to raise the steering arm, or convert to a crossover setup, with a 6 inch lift or bigger you also have to get extended brakelines, which skjacker makes too, national spring, or eaton spring, or any springshopfor that matter can give you as big of a lift as you want (within reason)
