need a better tow vehicle - FSB Bronco ?
Currently using my 88 Bronco II, but, it isn't hacking it especially with the tow dolly. Pretty much limited to just in the city stuff < 35 mph and small cars.
Think a 80s Full Sized Bronco would be safe enough to tow a small car trailer with a vehicle about Explorer size? Would prefer the FSB over F-series, either would probably be 351w/5 speed/4.10 gears.
Just wondering about the small wheelbase of the FSB being up to the task of a car trailer.

I have towed car trailers and travel trailers with a full sized Bronco (351 w/auto). No problems until you reach 23'-24' in trailer length. Once you get to that length, towing becomes very hands on, no relaxed driving. Something about the short wheel base, quick steering and the length of the trailer. I always used an equalizer type hitch when towing anything over 14'.
Good luck
