Lift For 88 F150?

Does anybody know where I can get a 2 inch-2.5 inch suspension lift kit for my 88 F150? And if my 31x10.5 tires will still rub?
Thanks

If its a 4x4 31's will be fine stock, they fit on my 86 with a little rub but my rims have not very much backspacing. as for the lifts someone will help ya I am not to common with them.

if you want to lift 2 -2.5 or maybe even 3" and want to go a cheap route just install a body lift they are cheap and you cab easily do it yourself on a weekend you won't have to mess with alignment.
if you are looking at just lifting the front you can install a leveling spring which if you are lucky will give you about 1.5-2.0"
If you get 2"s from a leveling spring you are lucky or you can go with a Daystar coil spacer and you will have to do an alignment but you can still use your shocks you are useing now. But for a cheaper route I would go with the body lift you can buy it in 2" or 3" and only cost aprox $200.00 at the most for that year truck

if you only want to go that high why not just install a set of air bags in the front ? i have a 95 150 4x4 they have been in there since last year . they will bring your front end up three inches with no problem at all . the cost for them in canada was around 100 bucks i think .

For just a 2" lift air bags are a good idea or you can get 2" extended springs alone. Either way you would probably have to get the accessory cams for the ball joints to be able to get it to align but, the good news, you could keep your stock shocks, etc. For the air bags I'd check Summit Racing "summitracing.com" My son just bought a heavy duty set for the rear of his Camper Special and he loves them. Summit had the best prices and they shipped free, they might have the springs too.

they are made by the airlift company . they are easy to install .you just have to jack the front end up put jack stands under the front ' take your front wheels off take the bolt out of the bottom of your shock , put a floor jack under the coil spring , undo the clip on the coil and let it down ; put the airbag inside the coil then put everything back together . you can run a seperate line to each of them or hook them both to one line thats what i did . they will take 50 lbs .pressure max that will raise the front about 3 inches .they are fully adjustable . you wont need any front end adjustment work done either . it took me about an hour and four beers to install them . the truck handles alot better now to . hope this helps you out .

I've got a better idea. I've never done it but think you should be able to handle this, check this out. Jack the front up on stands and take the tires off. Remove the coil springs, shocks, and you might have to take the brake line and move it, not sure. If you look at the spring seat, theres i think 4 rivits holding it to the frame. Cut those off, remove the seat, drill 4 new holes about 1.5 to 2 inches down from the original holes, make sure they are lined up, and get some grade 8 bolts and bolt it back up. Put the coils and orig. shocks back in and brake lines, and you've got a 2 inch lift for free. Probably need an alignment. Just an idea, if you like this idea, make sure you look everything over and it will work to your liking.

Primary rig is:
95' F-150 EB 300/6 5 spd with 4" Superlift, MSD, Ram Air, Gibson Exhaust, and coming are some BFG MEATS

Then theres:
88' F-250 Superduty 351 + c6
92' Thunderbird 3.8L V-6 FOR SALE!
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 and a
3 spd column shifter baby.

The newest addition to the Ford family is a 99' Mustang GT 4.6L

I tried the lowering of the spring towers and it does work but it is not that simple you will need to install some type of spacer between the bottom part of the spring tower and the frame ( where the spring tower bracket comes to a L and bolts to the bottom of the frame it wasa pain and just said screw it and put it back to stock.

If your looking for a lift I have a brand new Rough Country 2.5 inch lift kit that I purchased for a 92 f-150 I had but never installed. The kit has new coil springs and drop brackets w/blocks for the rear and a set of shocks ,I have the optional extended radius arms for the kit and a new set of polyurethane bushings for the pivot beams.I was going to list it in ebay but if your interested I would part with it for $400.00 plus shipping. I have around $600.00 invested in it.The kit will allow you to run up to a 33" tire and give you around 13" of front wheel travel with the extended radius arms along with improved overall handeling. If you want gearing to go along with larger tires I also have a brand new set of 4.11 gears for a f-150/bronco with the dana 44 ifs and ford 8.8 rear end .The gears are made by Precision Gear and include instalation kit for the front and rear and a new carrier for the front dana 44.If anyones interested I'll take $400.00 for the gears too which is a loss as i have over $600.00 invested in them.
