f350 springs on f150?

Today i was told i could put f350 springs on the front of my f150. and this would raise it up about 2 inches giving me enough clearance for new, bigger tires. is it true?

I believe 2wd f350's have coil springs in the front. I've heard of what she's talking about, but i've never seen it done.

You can get rough country, or superlift 2" lift springs for a 4x4 for around $120, or so.

Coils from a 2wd F350 will fit under a 2wd F150. And yes its about a 2 inch lift, I did the swap on my 87 F150 2wd so I could fit 33's under the front. The ride was really rough, but I imigine it would soften out if you ever got a big bumper for the front.

front 2wd f350 springs will also fit a f150 4x4. I don't think this raises the front end any higher than it was originally...but it may raise it several inches higher that it is currently if they are now weak. I did this on my 93 4x4 so it could handle the plow. I used the regular duty f350 springs...in hindsight, I wish I had gone with the Heavy duty for the plowing. Good cheap solution.

pretty much...im gonna say if you find a pair of coils that are the same diameter it souldnt really matter what truck they are out of and if the springs are 2 inches taller guess what...

Correct. I'm actully wondering if the f350 springs are any taller or if they're just so much stiffer that they don't squat when they're under an f150...?...
