Where is the new 4bbl intake?

I heard that murrmmet was coming out with a new more streetable 4bbl for the Y. Where, or when is it? I like my 2bbl so I am doing the procrastante game on this but am currious as to where this manifold would sit in the scheeme of mild engines.

Ive a stock 292. Id like to go to a 4bbl and headers, maby a mild cam. the thing has a lot of balls already(Im a 300 six man) so am currious as what to expect.

Thanks for putting up with the "kids" stupid repetitive and fancy free questioning.

That is the Hi performance one I belive. Great on Hot engines and stroker engines but from what I understand is that there is too much plenum volume and leads to poor low end performance.

For a mild engine, I dont think you can beat the B 1957 and up manifold, except in weight and dollars spent.

What is a B1957 manifold?
Does it accept modern 4bbl carbs?
Where sould I look?

Im all for using NOS/OEM parts. But if it involves using a crazt teapot or spreadbore carb, then I think twice.

Ford 4V intake manifolds from 1957 on were produced with the correct mounting flange for a modern Holley or Edelbrock. The B referrs to the last letter in the ID number. 4V intakes ending with A used the Teapots. Ebay almost always has someone listing. The going price usually is $125. If you dont like ebay I have one that will be 4 sale after I get it cleaned up.

Yes they take a Holley 390 or 600, Autolite 4100, Edelbrock 500or 600, some models of Carter. I will PM you after it is cleaned up, as I want to be sure it is in good shape. Probably will get that done in the next 3 weeks or so.
