There was an article in Sport Truck magazine about these trucks in about 1990. One had a custom box that is very simular to the flareside box that went into production, If I remeber correct to the other had a 3" chop. They were running 10" Centerline wheels with the red dot foactory Ford center cap. These trucks were built by Jack roush to, I think.
I thought the Sport Truck Magazine article featured the purple truck built by Boyd Coddington, not Roush?

Found the article. It was indeed the same truck, built by Boyd.

Thats sweet looking. I like the production Gen 1 better !
That is one of the trucks of which I was speaking, The other was a red 90 or 91 with a narrowed both with daully fenders, a 460. They did a top speed run with it on an oval and it topped out at about 145mph. There was also a pace truck, I think it was built for SSCA truck racing. It was a black short box lowwerd about 2" with a 351 and a 5speed, lightbar and all that jazz. It was a real cool looking truck.
