10/27/08 Ride of The Week
41inWV 1941 1/2 ton flathead

Thanks so much for the honor.
Here's a little of the bits and bits on the truck:
This is our 1941 1/2 Ton. I built this for my wife who is currently battling her SECOND Cancer.
The Chassis:
Stock Chassis, 4" Drop front axle, Posie Parrallel leaf springs bouncing a '79 Granada 8" rear end. ECI Disc brakes up front on granada rotors. Pirate Jack POWER brakes with electric vacuum pump.
The Drivetrain:
Original Flathead 221, bored and built to 239. The crab distributor and timing cover replaced with a '49-'53 style cover and an MSD Electronic distributor and blaster coil, extended '49'53 commercial water pumps and crank pully.
C-4 Automatic transmission from a 68 Mustang.
The Bed:
Oak boards stained with a cherry stain, stainless steel strips and bolts.
The Electrics and Misc. :
Ron Francis Wireworks 'Express' wiring, Clean Swipe (Newport Engineering) windshield wipers, Nu'Relics power windows with Hotronics switches, power cowl vent from Watson streetworks.
Body Mods:
Patch panels and cross member in the bed box. Rear Roll pan fabricated and filled with license plate box and '39 Ford LED tail lights with 'Rapidfire' from 'Shiney Hiney'

TIME....
So much at first
So little at the end
The quality of it....

Can we have more? We wonder
Is there ever enough....
But with what we have of it
Can we make enough of what we have got?
I don't know how much I have left.
I don't think I even want to know...
But once gone, I really think
I don't want to regret it
That whatever I did was best!
I did what I could within my means
I will carry with me what I made in life
Into whatever the next place is that I go
