16's or 17's?

When it comes time to replace the factory rubber on my 08 f-150 4wdi've had since july i'm going to be doing a couple upgrades, a 2" leveling kit, 33" trxus mt's and a new set of wheels, i'll probably get a set of 17's, but will 16" wheels clear the big brakes on these trucks? I'm asking as i need a wide inexpensive selection of rubber, as i use the truck for a lot of tasks and may need to swap tires, and quite frankly, 18" tire selections blow, and everything is pricey.

16's are out of the question....the rotors on these trucks are too large for 16'' rims. The lowest that you can go is 17's.

x2 I got 17 and they just make it. I hate my 18 inch rims they look nice but not the price of new tires. I bought mickey thompson baja mtz 33/12.5/17 and they were 250 a tire. I was looking for new tires for my 18's for the winter 265/75/18 I was looking at Mickey thompson Baja Atz and they wanted something like 280 a tire. How is a smaller tire worth more?

I bought my rims and tires from a place in Ohio. I believe it was called Jordan Tire not positive found them on ebay and just called them. Got a set of Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 33/12.50/17 on Mickey Thompson Classic II's for 1580 shipped to my door mounted and balanced. I see you are from canada so it would be a different price. But I went to my local dealers for this same tire and rim combo and they wanted over 2000 I told them I can get them for 1580 and they laughed and said it would take forever. Well took 3 days put them on went back to the place that lauged at me showed them my bill and tires and where like wow whats that place I will buy a bunch for here im like nope sorry not giving it to you. You will probably jack the price up for someone else.
