rear locker

I want to put a locker in the rear axle of my 2005 expedition. it is a 2wd and I want some more traction when pulling out my boat. what options do I have? arb is too expensive.

you can get an oem one. part number is 7l3z-4026-a. retail price is $411.95, but it is loaded and ready to drop in. i'm sure if you look hard enough, or ask the "right people", you can get the part at a discounted price.

Auburn, Detroit, junk yard oem (just get new clutches). The headache is if you are not going to shim the ring and pinion yourself you are looking at around 250 in labor along and I think I lowballed that...
