Lowering the rear on 1954 F100
I am looking to drop the rear on my 1954 F100. I have already Raised the Front spring hanger for the rear leaf springs but that didn't give me the results I wanted.
So I am thinking of removing some leafs from the spring but I don't want to remove them only to find out I didn't get the drop I need. I am looking for probably the 3 inches or so moving the rear axel on top of the springs would give me.
Does anyone have any tips before attempting this?
How much drop would I get by taking out 3 leafs or so (I have 9 I think)?

Take a look at the bottom of page 128 of the Mid-Fifty catalog. They've got their suggestions for lowering using the existing springs and removing some leaves.

Put your axle on top of your leaf springs that will give you 3-4" you may also need to C-notch your frame. I used TCI's rear leaf spring kit & put the axle on top of the leaf springs, I got a 3" drop from when I had the Ranger Springs & hangers, I'm not sure of the drop from an original set-up. I didn't have to C-notch my frame however, I did purchase the parts from Midfifty, they fitted good but I didn't need them.
