why? wouldnt make a really hot air charge? would that put you in turbocharger territory(speaking of a diesel pumping 60 lb of boost, not the 7-10 on mild gas engines)
"show"............is the ONLY advantage. Do you notice the very large lag in throttle response? He wings the throttle, then like 4 seconds later it finally revs. That'd take some getting used to.
Might look impressive, but really it's useless. Years back I saw one that had the two blowers hanging off angles from the intake, not one into the other. They both fed the motor separately. Makes for big "WOW" factor.
Definately for show, to increase the boost you can put a different size pulley on. Having stacked one on top of each other is a waste and due to having more to turn = more drag which is a loss in power in theory.
More money than brains. Twin turbo theory is that using 2 small turbos you reduce lag while still getting the same boost as one large turbo. You can do the same with turbo style superchargers.
All show.

That's not very effective. The Top sc would be hindered by the lower if not canceled out all together. That's why anyone who does it right puts them on an angle and the the same level. I think the delay was in the crappy video camera he was using, looked like a phone camera.

Couldn't even maintain a steady idle. More dollars than sense, IMHO. More effective would be a swap of pulleys on a single blower.

Most high power supercharged motors do "lope". Some are much more severe then others. I like the ones where you can almost count the firing order.............
That's not a lope in the video. Its the idle speed going up, up, up, and down, down down, verses an idle lope (which I love the sound of). This thing sounds very poorly tuned.

Have to agree, as the hard part with a blown motor is getting the idle mixture just right. With it surging, it's richening, then leaning out, richening, leaning out. With all the rube goldberg going on there I suppose it'd be really hard to get it right. With all that plenum space, it would be hard to get it rich enough to stay constant.
I put a a/f meter on mine(cheapo narrow band), but it still got it just about spot on. Idles cold with no choke, very responsive.
not sure, but i asked my wife and got slapped.
THANKS A BUNCH

that is the stupidest thing i have ever seen. he is spinning more parts (and spending more money) to accomplish the same thing a single larger blower would do. the setup he has will only boost as much as the top blower will allow. trying to spin both of those faster will end in less efficiency and overall power. he could get a single, larger unit and spin it slower and get more boost or the same boost with more power.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THAT BACKFIRES??? looks like he has about 5 liters of perfectly mixed fuel and air waiting to POP. wanna see 2 blowers fly to the moon?
