Hello, My brother is wanting to put a T444E into his 64' F100, I know that the T444E is governed to 2600 rpm- is it possible to have this governed speed modified to that of a PStroke', or can the ecm's be interchanged?

They are all the same motor, electronics are different. You'd need to get all the wiring from a PSD powered pick-up and run whatever chip you want.
otherwise, if you're stuck using the wiring from the T444E truck, you're limited as to what you can get. If it's a standard trans, that helps a lot, if it's an auto, you're about screwed...
thanks, thats what i was figurin, the trans would probly be an at545 school bus tranny unless i find a good 5 or 6 speed for a decent price, will all of the sensors and connectors hook up to the PS harness or would i have to do a whole lotta slicing and solderin?

I talked with my cousin agin, he's the one that was looking for a med. duty truck w/T444E last spring and I learned a lot about the programming possibilities from him.
He said the Allison auto trans has NO wires going to it, so in the end I don't see why you couldn't just use a Ford PCM if it'll bolt up to the IH harness and run the truck, it should work. Or at the very least, consult with a chip programmer (Tony Wildman or DP Tuner) with the PCM code on the IH motor and see if they can tune for it straight up. These guys are always finding new tuning things, so you never know.
thanks man, i knew i had seen the name DzlJim before- from your website, how did that triple turbo set up work out that thing looked like it would be wicked
