2008 Towing Mirrors On a 2006 F250

I installed a set of 2008 Heated lighted Towing mirrors on my 2006 F250. I wired everything and Everything works on the Drivers Side, but on the passenger side everything works exept for the mirror side to side adjustmend, it will adjust up and down but not side to side.

I tried everything I could Think of and am hoping someone else might have an Idea of what is wrong..

Thank you for any input

Defective mirror? Get a multimeter on the wire that controls side movement and see if the voltage is there, if so the mirror motor could be bad.

Yeah I put a set on my '06 and everything works fine. Double and tripple check your connections.

Sorry to open such and old thread, but I have a 2006 F250 and want to put the 2008 style mirrors on it. My question is, do the 2008 mirrors simply pop and bolt on like the old ones or do you have to do some trimming? Also is the wiring the same and is it possible to install a switch for the power telescoping? Sorry for all the questions.
Thanks Guys

The mounting is the same, I am not sure about the connector. I know people have added controls for telescoping/fold by running new power leads and installing switches. I plan to get the manual fold/extend power/lighted mirrors though, as they are about 1/3 the cost of the power fold/extend version.

Mazsecond. I did a write-up on how to stall 08 mirrors on the older style. On the new ones there is a little plastic tab that needs to be cut off. Very easy to do. Also the plug is not the same. I used my old plug and wired that up to the new mirror so it would plug back into the original spot.

@Firemudder
Thanks for that writeup, that will help a lot. It completely changes the look of the truck. Can't wait!
