Interesting Thread on DP Tuner Gains

You may have seen this long ago but I thought it was interesting as I recently remember someone asking about what actual gains are with the tunes.

I dyno'd my DP-TUNER - Diesel Forum - The Diesel Stop.com

What truck is that on?? Mine is ~210 Stock, and I got 311/681 on the 120R tune. ~290/610 on the 80E tune...

Well, even a van turbo cannot make up for an IC. Wonder how much a drop there is when sitting still on a dyno? Gotta be some, I know my fan runs always pulling air.

My truck feels like 80eco has way more power than 80 tow. those numbers show that 80 tow has more ???? Weird !

Good point Mike. He made a lot of runs with only 2 minutes between and he was idling. Colder denser air is a big help. When you are sitting on a dyno with the engine running, the intake is hot enough to cook on.

Yeah Jason, crappy air is just that. Can't do much with it. I should have started in my max tune.

You'll break the 400 HP Mark at Outlaw this year Mike. But you are right we figured out if you wanted to find your peak HP start in the highest tune and go down from there.
