November 19th 09 f150 incentives
Well today is the last day of their current offers for november. What do people really think would be a good incentive for these trucks. Im hopeing for some 0.0% apr and if not that a $5k rebate. I called Ford and they said that there will be some great incentives but wouldnt tell me what they were.

Is employee pricing better than x-plan pricing?
#5
I am looking at my invoice right now. X-Plan is $43,186 employee pricing is $41,569 for a loaded platinum. Plus there is another $2000-$3000 dollars of built in profit that the dealer gets, which I argue for it all that alot of people don't know about. I only ever allow the dealer to make like $500 off me, you MUST do your homework though to outsmart them.

Now $41,569 is a better sounding price with a good APR will be spot on. any less than that and i think they are gonna struggle to sell these.

The below just appeared on the Courier Journal Louisville Ky online newspaper site:
Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it will offer employee pricing, zero percent financing and cash incentives on a variety of its vehicles in a move to boost interest in its vehicles amid one of the worst sales downturns in the industry's history. Under the offer, which starts Wednesday and runs through Jan. 5, Ford will offer employee pricing on most of its 2008 and 2009 models.
The incentives EXCLUDE the 2009 F-150, 2008 and 2009 Escape and Mariner hybrids, 2008 and 2009 Shelby GT500, F-Series chassis cabs models and E-Series cutaways models.

What on earth. I cant understand fords thinking on this area. The trucks would sell if they just had some good incentives.

Just spoke to ford again at the incentives department and the bloke just told me that there will be zero incentives for the current f150 until sometime in jan. This was after he told me that the f150 is the best truck to have and there's some great incentives at the moment. Even he was surprised there were no incentives for it. oh well looks like I'm Shi* out of luck.

Maybe a big reason the big 3 are in this mess is that they have always had to offer incentives to move vehicles. Now, as has been stated before, they NEED incentives to move trucks. Don't get me wrong, I love a great deal...but why is it recieving an incentive is no longer a "great deal", but expected?

8-9 month ago i couldnt get anything of a 08 f150 let alone any other brand. Now that the econonmy has gone down the pan they need to reduce there prices to get sales moving again. Its the same problem with almost everything, Fuel drove up prices for everything and people were paying top $ for items. Now that the fuel prices have halfed none of these items have fallen in price from things like milk and breed, clothes and electronics to trucks and materials. I just fair it should be like this. Also if they dont drop there prices in another 6 months, 1 year or when ever it happens and the fuel goes back up in price we weill have these same companys telling us they they need to increase there prices again to cope with the cost of fuel.

This is the main reason why I dont rush to the starting line to buy the newest truck on the road. This time next year, the dealers lots will be full of this body style and it'll be old news. And those who paid big bucks in the first few months of introduction will see that they paid too much. Granted, that attitude doesn't help ford, but we must look after our own.

Well just found out that the 09 f150 does infact get 0% apr for 3 years which is def better than nothing. But zero rebates.
I don't mind paying more money to be one of the first as i will keep this truck until it's run into the ground and it wont owe me anything. But it's crazy that they arnt doing their upmost to sell these things. I will still get the truck but discounts will be missed for sure.
