I feel your pain, just did my donut gaskets got it all togather and found I pinched the oring on the turbo, so back out it came. I took the up's loose at the manifold and connected the y but it was still a pita to hook back to the manifold. Hope this helps
It is easier to do with 2 people. Loosen the bolts at the manifold on your up-pipes. I know it's a pain, but if you take your time, you can get it done. Many people have been where you are at now.

I hear ya'. When you remove the Y and try to put everything back, it can get easily 'way outa whack' (technical term) lol. It just takes patience. I know I learned to have more when I did my up pipes.
Don't get frustrated. It will be alright.
Yes, loosen the up-pipe bolts at each exhaust manifold and use a bungee to hold the baby's butt in place. Here's what I did. When you put the clamp back on make sure the bungee is not going through it. Ask me how I know. Once you have the bungee holding it in place you can check for fit with a mirror and then install clamp.
It will go back in, I promise. I fought with mine one day for hours, walked away for a little while, and then it just kind of fell into place when I got back to it. Loosen Marmon clamp that holds turbo to up-pipe collector, seat turbo at the same time you line the pin on the collector up with the hole in the turbo flange. Resume cussing whoever in the hell designed a Marmon clamp. Take 4 advil for the aches and pains that you will surely feel tonight after laying on top of the engine all day.

This is the best advice in this whole thread.
I work on cars for a living and when I did my up-pipes it took me a full day to get it done with a couple of breaks for lunch and take a breather.
The next day I was SORE.
hey ok to update the y pipe is all good to go but now i need to try and get a new clamp for the intake y pipe (the one thats screw drive v clamp )
dose anyone know where i can get one?
Glad you got the up-pipe collector attached to the turbo. Can be a PITA as you know.
As for the clamp you can try NAPA. This Ebay seller has T-bolt clamps. You can use a T-bolt type as long as it fits properly and don't over tighten it. Ebay Link
