Hit a deer last night

last night a deer ran out infront of me while i was going about 25mph, i didn't even have time to lift out of the throttle, i creamed the sucker! a while back i welded up a trailer hitch with a hook to the front of my truck and reinforced the front bumper with some heavy square tubing maybe 3/8ths thick and 3in square running behind the bumper. lol well the deer hit that, knocked him over and got caught in the hook and the hook ripped it's neck apart and then i ran over it's head lol. i jammed on my brakes all pissed off to get out and see how bad my truck was *****ed up but there was just blood all over the front right side and some flesh hanging off the hook, i drug the thing to the side of the road and headed to the car wash. hahaha stupid deer, glad i didn't hurt my truck-although there is a scratch in the plastic strip on my bumper but it's no big deal

Here's a pic of a buck my bro-in-law UTfball68 hit with his truck. The only casualty was a license plate holder...and the deer of course. That's his dad posing with the deer, and yes they made mounds of deer jerky with it:

I hit one about 3 months ago at about 55 mph. I bent the right steering tie rod. That sucked, that is a thick and expensive part. The interesting part is the deer was no where to be found.

I've never personally hit a deer, but you gotta give Ford credit for building trucks that can "take a hit" better than some.

Dad hit several deer with his '92 Ranger; the worst damage was a head-sized dent in the side of the bed. One doe lowered her head and took out a chunk of grille. One little button buck actually set the front bumper straight, after my brother had bent it trying to push his buddy's car. Tough little rig, that truck was.

Sometime I'll have to share the story of one of my friends hitting a 10-point buck with his Neon. THAT was a mess. Good venison, though.

Gotta love a tough truck.

I hit a deer last year around this time.

Didn't hit it with my truck though. I hit it with my '07 Dodge Charger SRT8......$8,000 worth of damage. I was not happy.
