2003 Mercury Marauder, 4.6L with Trilogy S/C, 4.10 rear axle. The staff car on steroids. Driven when the ole 94 F150 stays home in the summer...

That would be cool if those Merc's came with the 2nd gen "L" 5.4! They come with a 4.6, but its like the Cobra one not the regular 4.6.

I always wanted a Marauder those are sweet. I also like the mid 90s Impala SS. I know its a Ch*vy, but its still cool.

I'll have to grab a pic of my dad's mercs when I go home for thanksgiving. He's got a 63 marauder 390-dual quad, 71 cyclone spoiler drag special(awaiting paint), and a 97 psuedo-marauder (S/C Grand Marquis with some suspension mods.

The 5.4 is too tall, although some have stuffed them in panther cars by cutting the hood. Its a cobra based 4.6 4V with AL block rather than iron. They were fun from the factory but with the 3.55 and factory trans program they felt a little weak, rated at about 300 HP at the crank. The supercharger, 4.10's and a flash on the ECM makes for a seriously fun sleeper ride...it's about 380HP/380TQ at the rear wheels, gotta be careful in the rain...and dry for that matter

I don't have a Stang... yet.. so in the meantime I have to settle for this... 550lbs and 145hp produces sub 3 second 0-60 times and 11sec 1/4 mile.. not bad for a $6000 used bike.

RJG1987,

Thats cool. Is that black 5.0 the same car as the white one in your sig, or do you have 2 5.0's? That F150 would shine up nice with some zymol cleaner wax or meguiars gold class. Didn't you say that it needed a paint job?

Modified 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis. She is my #1, but progress has been slow the past year. HO EFI302 with goodies, AOD trans with goodies, 3.55 rear with trac-lock, dual exhaust. Got a long ways to go, yet.

PIC ONE

PIC TWO

SHORT VID

Let me know what you think.

The black one is my buddies. its currently in the garage waiting for a 308 swap and nos, when thats done were doing a 347. i want to borrow his weld's tho, i'd have to polish them first lol. yes, my truck is dirty, it needs a GOOD cleaning all around, but i don't have time and i'm short on cash, i just graduated tech school for automotive so i have plans for the future, as soon as i find a new apartment. but i can't get my engine bay clean, i used a powerwasher once and it didn't do anything but make me a 3 cylinder, took nothing off, any advice? simple green? it needs paint but i want to Power wash the underbody ive been lucky so far its not rusting, keep the post going! i like that HO in the grand marquis/LTD thats what i like to see..later everyone

PS the marurader and the T/a Firebird, Look Very good!!!!!!

If those Weld's need to be polished use Purple Polish from California Custom. It blows all those others like Mother's out of the water. Its way easier and faster. It doesn't really dry and stick on either. Don't use their waxes though, unless you have virgin paint. My friend did and it made his paint all hazey. They said it was becuase other waxes had been applied to the paint before hand. So I don't want to recommend their wax, but the metal polish is awesome.
