engine swop
The 351 blew up in my 78, now a friend of mine has a 87 bronco with a 302 that he wants to sell. I am assuming the c6 bellhousings are diffrent, how can I get this engine to work with my trans?

you would have an easier time dropping in a 460 then trying to make the 302 work.

Yup, your 351 in the 78 is a big block. The 302 is a small block. 302 is not gonna push the biggest (and heaviest) Bronco ever made around nearly as well as the original engine either.

I would try Craigslist and look for a 351M or 351C (I think those have the same bellhousing pattern?) Or do what Kemicalburns sugested and drop a 460 in that bad boy.
