Update on the 53! It's been a while.

Hi there all, it's been a while since i last updated you all on the 53. With some delay in vital parts. I now have the 53, 95% done. Getting the engine fired up this week and taking it out for a test drive. Then all I need done is the interior.
Paul

WOW, wow, and wOw... that looks GREAT... I am SO jealous.
BUT.... what a bummer... I'm sure you noticed, so I don't feel bad pointing it out, ALL that work and then find out that you put it back together backwards... The steering wheel mate... it's on the wrong side. I hate when that happens... LOL
GREAT job.... looks fantastic.

That's interesting that the steering is moved to the "wrong" side, but the heater stays? Or are you using something custom? Looks great, very clean job!

Steve, I used what we call here is a two pac method of paint, with a clear coat. I am running white walls around, the front rims had their back space modified about 1/4" for caliper clearance. They are just multi fit painted steelies. I hope I didn't put the truck back together the wrong way...hehhehe.

Nice work...gotta love a clean, uncluttered engine compartment. I have ridden in right hand drive cars (taxis in UK and Hong Kong) but have never driven one...maybe one day I will get the pleasure. It will have to be on a deserted road though...

I agree with Charlie. A nice clean, uncluttered engine bay is a beautiful thing.

Talking

AWESOME!! It looks great man, keep us posted. I love that its right hand drive. I almost made mine that way just for kicks, but my little bro talked me out of it. Although, since I'm such a symetrical nut, I thought about makin it have dual controls and be able to drive it from either side?? Hmmmmmmmmmmm??????????????? Maybe next time????

Anyway, excellent work man, it looks awesome
