Stock wheel weight rating

I believe I have factory aluminum slotted wheels on my truck. Does anyone know what weight capacity they are rated for? I may be upgrading tires but if the rims will be the weak link I need to do it all at once. Thanks,

Well, your truck is rated at what, 12,000 gross? Then to be LEGAL- each rim could support 3,000 lbs. However, there are those who have put more than that on the rims. You can put E rated tires on it, and as long as you keep it under the trucks GVWR and the tire rating, you're good.

Thanks! So if I understand you, no matter what the wheels should be rated for more than an "E" rated tire, not less?
