04 f150 smells of gas

Hello
Thanks in advance .
I have a 04 f150 i bought in 03 , it has 49000 on it . In the last few weeks i have been smelling gas vapor , on the drivers side , when i am standing just outside the vehicle . It is not a spill because it has been with me for sometime . I cannot see any leaks on the fittings that i can see although i have not really got around to crawling around yet .

. Anyone else run into this or am I the only one ?
Anybody have any ideas?

I don't what the fuel filler hose looks like on these 150's, but if it's anything like the one on my Ranger, it can be cracking near the connection to the tank and weeping enough fuel to smell but not see.

I had nearly the same deal on my Ranger for months, a fuel stink, but no evidence as to where it was coming from. The filler hose finally got bad enough to drip fuel to show what had been happening the whole time.

The Ranger was 11 years old when that happened though, so it seems a bit premature on a 4-5 year old truck, but worth checking I guess.

DId you change spark plugs? the reason i m asking is that I read some where cuz it happened to me...

spark plug, the smell got sneak right thru spark plug and vapor..so i checked all spark plugs and turned out one of 8 has little loose so i took care of it and its gone.
