banks dual monster exhaust pics

I know that its purely a cosmetic mod, but even after painting the stock tips flat black, I still got sick of them after a while. I got a pretty decent deal on this that I cant post up on the forum, so I couldnt pass it up. Anyhow, heres some pics.

Nice looking rig you have. Does the system clear the spare tire with ease?

Looks great. did it change the sound at all? I know in the past changing to a Banks exhaust gave a deep throaty exhaust that wasn't too obnoxious like others.

you just have to readjust where the spare is - but there is plenty of room. i even have air lift bags in the back and they clear just fine.

couldnt tell you. just put it on. also, i never really know when my truck is in a regen. ive supposedly had the flash done and the dash indicator added, but it hasnt gone off yet.

the stock pipe isnt restrictive at all - the resonator on the tailpipe is basically straight through. you wont notice a change in sound until you get rid of the dpf/doc.

Thats too bad. I had hoped for a change in tone. It really helped on the 6 liters.

was wondering about how much better these would be, I have been thinking of adding them to mine, not because of sound but performance. So let us know if they seem to help the motor perform a little better.

Nothing will make the engine perform better until you get rid of the DPF and a tuner. The exhaust is just for looks without a tuner/dpf-delete... it won't sound different, perform different, or anything else. It's easy to install, took me about an hour with a few beer breaks. I have the same Banks exhaust, and it's sharp looking for sure.

Nice pics z71burb.....

yeah, kinda what I thought too. nice enhancement but if everything has to go thru the caty and then dpf it's not going to help
