I have a 06 5.4 w/3.73 and I'm only getting 14 around town... I just sold my 94 150 w/5sp and 3.55 and I got 15... wow 12 years later and ford hasn't improved anything, still find that hard to believe. ]

14 in town w/a auto is really good,
mine is 12 in town but I do live at 7000ft Elevation & I use 88 octane, as 87 isn't available.
21 on the highway empty.
11 towing in the mountains.
'07,5.4 4x4 Quad Cab 3:73's, Flowmaster Series 50 cat-back single exhaust system.

He said it right, 14 MPG in town is very good mileage.

Be glad you're driving a Ford. I used to have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9L V8, and it would get 8.5 mpg on the exact same daily commute that I now get 14.5 with the Ford...

My '08 4.6L gets 15-17, depending on if I get into town much. That's not much different than my '98. If I want gas mileage, I get on my Sportster. If I need to haul 80 concrete blocks, screw the fuel mileage, I hop in the F150.

Oh, and to Saleenguy, I've shared your Tundra joke. It's been getting good laughs with the local Ford gang.

Glad it gives you all a laugh.

I was not a long time Tundra owner, just a very disappointed one.

What a piece of **** that truck was.

I have had less trouble with with the 11 ford trucks and many years of ownership combined, than I did with the new tundra I had for mere months.

I really haven't taken mine on a highway trip but I've talked with other folks that have the exact truck as mine and get anywhere from 18-20 on a trip... my real point is why does it take the Big 3 car makers so long to react to change (can you say the early 1970's all over again)

I'm getting around 12-13 but that is w/33's. Tires make a huge difference. I'm looking forward to putting my winter wheels on (stockers).

My 06 FX4 5.4 got 15/17 with the stock tires. When I moved up the the 285 tires, it went to 15 across the board. Feel bad for those here who have posted crappy mileage.... my V10 F350 gets 12.5-13 these days

Edit: with the stump pulling 4.30 gears to boot!

I have a '07 f150 supercab 4X4, 5.4l 3.73 limited slip and I get 14 in town and 20-21mpg highway. Pulling our 8500lb camper it drops to 11-12mpg highway running 91 octane when pulling.
