Introduction

I sold my old truck yesterday ('92 F150 XLT Lariat SuperCab) and I am looking at the '04-'06 F150s so I'll be lurking over here trying to figure out what kind of problems/fixes I can expect from it.

I have an 04 for just a few months now. When I bought it, I knew going into it, but the clutches in the rear end made the whole truck chatter and shake when I turned from a stop. And the rear power slider was broke. Those are the only 2 problems that I have had.

CC if you look at the dealers and talk hard you can still find NEw 07 -08s out there for a good price. Ford fixed most of the major problems in the 06 model year. But with every one problem someone has with their truck, there is 9 others out there that are trouble free. Ive owned Fords since 1988 and the only problem ive had is with my 07. The rear clutch packs were bad and made rear end chatter as CMB stated. One trip to dealer and fixed.................
