Absolutely no full length center counsel taking up the whole damn cab! The F150 was already *******ized by this.

I'd like to see a real transfer case with a shifter in it's place.
Custom, Ranger, Xlt trim levels
A full set of gear options with or with out limited slip
auto or manual hub options
AC delete
Power windows/locks delete
No freaking Airbag would be great, but that isn't going to happen.
No Crew Cabs
A sport truck package like a baby lightning with a healthy smaller v-8 or maybe a supercharged 6cyl
A small diesel.

Dodge buyers don't buy dakota's because there junk. I say that because I sold dodge's for 2 years and dakota's had a lot of problems. The ranger sells well and the F-150 sells well, or did. So I predict an in between will do well. Alot of people like the ranger the size that it is and others would like it to be bigger. The F-100 will be perfect for the mid size crowd. Just read the forums and you will see there is a market for it. I know ford has researched it before making the decission to build it.

I would like to see me in one !

But for real the more options you have the more the truck will cost. I say make it simple but with a huge after market!

1. A straight six engine, maybe an updated version of the old 300 with an aluminum DOHC head.
2. diesel option from CAT or maybe john deere.
3. it needs to look like the current Superduty body style
4. a straight front axle with manual hubs.

there are just a few things i would like to see in the possible new F-100.
1.a new 302. And it be the biggest engine available in the truck. And also come back out with the 300 I6. And have available the 4.6 L 3v V8.
2. It be either regular cab or 4 door super crew. the Reg cab have an 8 foot bed and super crew have a 6 1/2 foot bed
3. a 5 speed tranny.

I am down with that. think as a work truck that a (revised) 300 I6 would suffice along with a solid Tdi. Realisticly they should revise the 4.2 v6 as standard, have the 3v 4.6 V8 as option along with the 4.4 diesel. Not sure about the ruggedness of an ecoboost as a truck engine...

Rumors were floating around of a new 5.0.But I haven't heard anything else about it.It looks dead in the water. For now.And if Ford brought back the 300,it wouldn't be the same.If Ford still had the 300,they wouldn't have near as many trucks in the service department. So it'd most likely be built with a life span of at max 150,000 miles. The new 300 would probably have plastic timing gears.lol.

Yea that's what I heard they were gonna do with it.But yea it does suck.

No it wouldn't.I'm not even sure if a straight six would fit in a midsized pickup.lol.I doubt it.It would have to be smaller and shorter. And that's no fun.Not to mention all the electronics that would be on it.

With all the global part soursing i cant help to wish (DREAM) they could fit the 4.0l i6 from the Aussie Falcon in it. They use it in i mid size SUV called the territory, even got an ST (Turbo) version of it... Yummy

YES Perhaps with a design that would incorporate those then to one wouldn't get a lap full of snow opening the window?! Maybe just maybe also could open the door not to be caught in an avalanche.

i assume a midsized would be used mainly a a commuter that occasionally needs a truck, so i would like to see some good gas mileage out of it.
