WEIRD!! Brake lights and rear flashers INOP. Fuse ok, turn signals work. Flashers work in front. So, it's something that's common to the flasher/brake light circuit. HELP! Of course, this happens on the coldest day of the year, so far.

 

Brake light switch or hazard switch.

 

Bypassed the brake light switch--no dice. Are you saying that the hazard switch might have gone bad? The hazards in front are working, btw.

 

I would look at rear harness section particularly the grounds.

 

Ok, it's fixed and I am a moron. I replaced the turn signal switch and didn't realize that the wires on the back of it were functional, i.e., they are important. Anyway, they weren't properly aligned and that was causing the problem. Sorry that I forgot to mention it in my previous post.
