I like the look of chrome smoothie wheels and am thinking of putting a set on my '94 f-150. I have always heard the term "chrome reverse" wheels and I have found several sources where I can buy them in standard or reverse rim style. Does anyone know what is the difference? How does mounting the rim backwards on the center change anything? I don't seem to see any visual difference in the two. Thanks

I'm not positive, but I believe the difference is the offset. It makes the viewable side of the wheel look deeper because the back of the wheel is deeper and therefore farther out from the hub when it's mounted backwards. I hope that makes sense.
I appreciate the help Ray, but I'm afraid I still don't understand. If I need a certain amount of offset to clear my rotors, calipers, balljoints, etc. I still don't see how mounting the rim backwards on the center will make a viewable difference. The rim is symetrical about it's centerline, right? The lip on the back looks just like the rim on the front, doesn't it? I know I should probably just ask the manufacture, but I thought someone on the list might offer additional help. thanks
