i bought one that was returned for some reason, it is still good and has all the parts but it might have a small stain or is dirty, but i couldnt find anything wrong with the one i got. also there are places that are getting rid of the Sportz 1 and 2 because they are now getting the Sportz 3, i didnt want the 3 anyways because it is taller then the first 2 and i didnt want it tall because of wind. i think retail was up in the 180 to 200 and i paid something like 130 or so....

ok so this is where i think i got mine (95% sure):
Category Listing - Demo_Tents they are asking 160 and retail is about 190 or more...or they have the sportz 2 for 154.
but it looks like all they have are the Sportz 3....but there are a tone of other brands out there, just dont get the yellow one please!

I do a good bit of camping, and look at a lot of small campers online,(before the f250) and came across a company called Quicksilver Living lite. They make a unit that fits in a truck bed.It has convas top and beds fold out over the sided of the truck. They are a real nice looking unit. It looks like 2 people could pick it up and place in the truck.I don't know much they cost, but it would be worth looking into.

Styles of Truck tents
Good afternoon;
I've been doing research for a week surfing the web on different truck tents. I know this thread is a bit old, and I'm sure you have the info by now...but I thought I would add a few links to help those along the way.
Napier Outdoors - Default is more info, to buy go to REI
These tents are nice with a full sewn in bottom...My preference is definitely with the bottom
Bargain Outfitters - Bargains, Discounts, Markdowns, Deals, on Boots, Clothing, Outdoor Gear at Bargain Outfitters. They have a guidegear full sz tent w/bottom for $79.99 and yes, rain fly
Price Comparison Shopping - Comparison Shopping Sites Really nice site Has a back roadz truck tent for $149.-
These two you should keep on 'speed dial' Hayneedle | Find your style - Home Furnishings, Home Decor, Outdoor Furniture and more and www.kitchenkool.com they can come in handy for comparing.
I'm not sure if Cabelas has them or not but Cabela's: Cabela's Official Website - Quality Hunting, Fishing, Camping and Outdoor Gear at competitive prices. you can see if there is a store near you.
I hope this helped any with questions.

Just got my Napier Sportz this week. Got it set up at the house and then off to the beach we went. The weather is a little cool for the kids to do an overnight at the beach, but soon enough. I was able to set it up myself in the wind in about 10 minutes from the bag.

Okay...I know it's not a Ford but I love camping with my truck and tent. Figured it was worth my input.
I use the tent from camp-right.com. The quality is very good and it's a cinch to put up. Obviously my tent would be different that one that goes on a SD but I imagine the quality would be the same.
If I had to look for a tent for a truck that had a normal bed (unlike my Avalanche) I'd look for one that extended over the front of the bed to prevent water intrusion. Mine extends over the the back part of cab since it has the Mid-Gate.
Great info on the floor! Mine doesn't have a floor and it makes it a lot easier to set up! I have a BedRug bedliner which adds an extra measure of comfort required by my wife.

Some very nice looking setups there.
I have to be honest though, at first I though the thread said "Truck Bed Dents".. which reminded me of the dent I recently got my some inconsiderate ###### when they let the wind take their car door..
It put about a 3 inch dent into the bed of my at that time near perfect truck bed...
anyway-cool thread..

I have a cap now that I sleep under, but for about 8yr's I used this. It was awesome, and If I camp, I don't drive. I tend to drink to much camping. I have used this in my Super Duty too. Now I use The cap (For me) Or the Camper (family excursions). I don't know about the full size truck's, but I know you can buy them from ford (they have a big ford logo and everything) for the Rangers. My BIL has one.
