Is there an easy way to see if an oil is grade 3,4, 5, etc? Do they disclose that on the label somewhere or is it a matter of doing your research prior to making a purchase?
You need to do the research. It's refered to as Group not grade. As posted above Rot-T is a Group III synthetic. Mobil 1, Valvoline Extreme Blue, Redline, Schaffer's and Royal Purple are Group IV "true" synthetics.
