My 09 XLT is suppose to be sitting on ramp waiting to be loaded, as per dealer rep info supplied to my dealership. What I want to know is how long is that ramp ??? It was ordered June 3 - built October 9.

WOW...that is a long wait to get it shipped.
Hopefully you take delivery soon...OBTW: Make sure to take plenty of pics...and share them with us!
That's funny, there are about 6 '09's on the dealers lot here and after I test drove the one last weekend I could have had it in my driveway, but my '07 only has a little over 12,000 miles on it.
Ford pushed back the 09 build dates in order to allow the dealers to clear the 08 models off the lot. I believe they started building 09s about 4-5 weeks ago.

However...according the the Original Poster...the '09 F150 was built on Oct. 09, 2008. It now sits waiting to be shipped...and is a "SOLD" unit once it hits the dealer lot. Shouldn't matter if the '08 units have not sold.
IMO...something just doesn't sound right. I think the dealer is giving you false info. I think I would be calling FORD Customer service right about now. Provide them the VIN the dealer should have provided you.
Ordering a new model year vehicle is one thing, but ordering a vehicle before it's launched is another thing entirely. I bet that debralj's XLT was built at DTP, and that plant began building F150s after KC did. I've seen very few of the models I know that DTP builds on dealer lots, but I know they're shipping.
Launch is a complex process. Ask DearbornDerek, I'm sure he's been through a few. Just because Ford starts building new trucks doesn't mean they've gone OK To Buy. There are thousands of small details to clean up before Ford turns them loose, to ensure that you don't have the truck back to the dealer any more often than you're supposed to. Needless to say, the first few thousand trucks get a pretty high level of scrutiny. Not to say that all of them don't--but it's that first few thousand that often make or break a vehicle's reputation.

I have contacted Ford with my VIN and they keep telling me that they have no information that I need to ask my dealership, well if Ford can not tell me anything then how is my dealer suppose to. My dealer has been talking with their Ford Rep and the last word is that the truck is waiting for a full load to come to Ky. From what they charge for delivery $975 I think they could find just enough trucks on that ramp to get a big enough load to head to Ky.
I have total confidence in my dealership, this is my 6th or 7th truck I have bought from them. They have always gone above and beyond for me. I have not seen any XLT's anywhere, I have been seeing almost everything but.
