cruise control

Yesterday while driving home from night school I noticed my cruise control wasn't working at all. It had worked on the way to school earlier, but didn't work at all on the way back. I had that ford cruise control recall installed a few months back on my 96 and it started working right after they installed it. I stopped at a gas station on the way home to see if the wire they installed came off. The plug that is on the master cyclinder that is hooked to that wire was pretty oily with brake fluid. Might that have something to do with it? I'll be checking the fuses tomorrow and see if that's the culprit.

Check the Cruise deactivate switch on the master cyl.

If it's leaking replace it.

They will sell you a upgrade switch w/new adapter harness, and tell you to pitch the recall harness.

Also check the fuse in the recall harness it may be bad.

If your ABS light is blinking the fuse for the brake lights may be blown.

My gallery has some stuff on the upgrade switch.
