I've lurked here before when I had a 1979 Bronco, haven't been around for a while, but was hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction. My wife backed our Freestyle out and the mirror caught on the garage door opening. She stopped immediately, and the only damage that the unit sustained was cracked glass. This is a heated power mirror unit and I can't figure out how to get the glass off to replace it. I've pried on the glass and it feels like it should separate from the backing plate, but I wanted to run it by someone more knowledgeable than I, so that I don't turn an annoying repair into a costly repair. I assume the glass can be replaced on its own. Attached is a picture to show the damage, click it for a larger detail view. BTW, all the directional controls of the mirror work fine. Thanks.
