Fabtech lift & 7 lug rims

I own a '99 F-250 longbed (7 lug rims). Recently I lifted it with Fabtech spindles and put on the stock rims some 305/70/16 Pro Comp muds.
It still sits to low for me, so I want to add the Fabtech 3.5" Performance lift (coils & A-arms).
Fabtech's website states that you must use aftermarket wheels with a 4 3/4" backspacing to use this kit.
Is anyone using this lift kit with stock wheels and if so do your tires or rims have a clearance issue with the suspension?

Are they 7lug rims? or a 7lug cover.. covering 8 lugs?
no one makes aftermarket wheels for 7lugx150 as far as i can
research.

the 7 lug pattern is just plastic, it's a hub cap. the actual wheel is underneath and it has an 8 lug wheel pattern

Nope, it's real. Another screwball Ford "Better Idea". The 2003 F-150 optional 7700# GVW package includes 16" 7-Lug Styled Steel Wheels. This payload package must have replaced the F-250 non-SD model.

GM uses 6 and 8 lugs on Silverado/Sierra trucks. Why does Ford have 5, 7 and 8? I doubt if Dodge or Toyota have seven either.

Fabtech lift & 7 lug rims

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Oct-02 AT 01:15 AM (EST)] Well I answered my own question by putting the kit on. It works great except the camber is out of spec by 1.4 degrees positive (yes I put the camber adjuster cams in).
No clearance issues with 305/70/16 Pro Comp muds, they clear everthing by 3 inches easy.
I'm not sure why Fabtech notes that aftermarket wheels must be used with this kit. Maybe the 7 lug rims are offset enough to provide more clearance than 5 lug wheels are.

American Racing and Weld make 7 lug rims but all I have seen is 16 x 8's.
