Gary,

LOL!!! That's a good one. One man's (woman's) pile of crap is another man's pile of gold.

Smile

My whole life I had disposable cars and trucks. They all seem to end up with a name.
72 mazda 808 was the "Spazda"
63 chevy 2 station wagon was the "the bear"
72 chevy longhorn truck öle yellar"
green pontiac omega was "slimer"
65 vw beetle "chit box"
67 chevelle malibu "shovel"
58 chev stepside "big red"
81 chev truck"krusty"
82 datsun, converted to flatbed"flatsun"
lumina van "dustbuster"
older comet "the vomit"
Dodge dakota"dogJa"

just a couple, I think the total cost of all these vehicles was less than my 51 M100'
But the stories in each one of these vehicles are, put it this way, If I told yah, Id have to kill yah!

My 54 is going to be a big tough 4x4 work truck that will be black and blue so "Bruiser" just seemed to fit.

I painted my panel red back in 82 and soon started calling it BigRed...of course. Back in 92 when I redid it I striped it down to bare metal and white was the color so I painted it white. My bro used to call it BigRed since nothing else fit. He even got me a license plate frame that says.."Under this white coat is BigRed"

Now I'm just diving into a 56 Merc pickup and it hasn't earned a name yet.

Sometimes it's a color sometimes it's a motor......that gives it's name.

Mine reminds me of Fred Sanfords truck from TV, so I call my 52 Lamont after Freds son the big dummy.

I think I will temporarily call my two old '53s Rusty and Crusty. I might be adding a '55 Panel truck, if it's outfitted right it could be called Lusty. From what I saw that would take some time.

Later...

Dave--that 53 is sure crusty--hahahaha!!! Good names!!

My 56F600 IS ''OLE TICKER'' and My wife calls it ''the motor home'' since it is so big and has bed and all the stuff to camp in,and my 71 F100 is the 71!!
My 53 is called the original ''lightning'' for now---till I repaint it.
This thread was on before and it is a good thread......brings back memories........Bill

This is a fun thread.

My 53 f-100 has a 322" buick nailhead in it for motivation.

We call it "Nail"
