Anyway Joe asked me about dealers in that area. Good idea Beth. I don't think there are many if any dealers in G-burg. I will look in P-Forge, I do know there are some in Newport. That is up the highway to the Interstate.
We will definately have to have one that is ready for us because of the size of our crowd they will need plenty of parking. Man this is getting fun!

I like the idea of going thru G-burg and into P-Forge and back as a cruise. That way we can be seen and noticed. Cades cove would be nice too but not as many people to notice us. Maybe we can start off thru the towns and loop back and the ones that want to go to Cades Cove can and the ones who just want a short trip will drop out on the way back thru.
Just a thought.

I will keep working on this and trying to come up with ideas.
Thanks Neal,

I was telling Joe we have a ford dealer here that has a special dealership just for the HD trucks and every time I go in, the truck is a magnet! Always a crowd around so I can just imagine if we had 30 trucks what that might look like!!

I'm glad you are close and can check things out!

There is a SD/Big Truck dealer in Canton, NC just off the interstate as you go over the mountain but I believe that would be a little far. It would be between an hour and an hour and a half.

I was not impressed with the Ford Dealer in Canton they were EXTREMELY high on there SDs when I was in there at the first of OCT going to Myrtle Beach. There is a dealer right up Dolly Parton Highway that seems to have a good deal on SD parts.

Is that the one in Sevierville. That and the one in Newport are the only two close ones I know of.

I bought my truck in Canto back in '97. I got a steal from them. Bought it from the fleet dealer. $3000 less than the window sticker without add ons and addendums. Rolled off the truck the day before. And after we drove it from way in the back it had 2 miles on it. Hubcaps still in plastic in the seat. Man what a day.

IF I can get to it some way - I will. But I'm a basic camper, I pack a tent and bring a mutt. I don't know how that will work out, but it would be worth the trip.

I'd ask about fishing ops, but that's a solitary thing and not the point!

What state parks with tent camping are nearby?

Wolfie,

The Smoky Mountain National Park is at the back door with countless 'basic' campsites to camp at if you like.

Also on 321 there are numerous other campgrounds that are more in line with 'basic' camping...

We would LOVE to have you join the festivities!

Joe.
