You were having problems with starting when hot. I have heared that you can use a 8 volt battery and it will improve you hot starting and still can run with your orinal 6 volt system. I bought a 6 volt battery this fall for my 46 and had I new sooner I would have bought a 8 volt, Because this motor I had rebuilt for my old truck seems to roll over alot slower then before a had rebuilt. This could be that the fellow that rebuilt it for me shaved the heads and may have increased the compression.
