460 Mo Power

Hi All

I'm new to the site and looking for a little help. I have a 1992 F250 with a 460 and AOD. Truck has a little over 50K on it. What can I do to ring some more power out of it. I use it to tow with! Thanks!

i envy you, wish i was the one asking what to do with my fuel injected 460. i'd start with the basics since you use it for towing. headers and mufflers would be my first upgrade. then i'd start making it breathe easier from the other end...throttle body, mass air, cold air kit...sutff like that. then if you think you have enough power...get a chip(programmer) they tend to be designed according to your personal modifications. then the chip should shore up your tranny a bit too. i'm a big fan of transcoolers too. those are just some of the things i'd do if i had a daily driver w/460. you can get huge amounts of power, just depends on how much you wanna spend...
