Yes, but try running the choke you have now before spending $30+ on a new one. If it still opens quickly enough, I wouldn't bother buying another one. The electric assist chokes were introduced to open the choke faster to reduce emissions. I haven't tried running that kind without the heat source. I'm not sure if they dissipate the same heat as the aftermarket all-electric chokes or not. If it takes forever to open up and you have voltage at the terminal, then spring for the new one. Keep in mind, the voltage at the choke power terminal isn't 12V DC. It's an AC signal. If you put your meter set to DC on it, you'll see about 7V RMS. That is OK.

Okay, I went to my local parts store and low and behold, they had an afterarket choke stove that clamps onto your exhaust manifold. As I was clamping my new on, I noticed the remains of the old one, it was incorporated into the exhaust manifold. So anyways, now it works. Although I had to turn the choke housing to very rich in order for the choke to stay on long enough since the new stove works a little too well. Thanks for your help again.
