November is just around the corner so I thought I'd get a jump on it. This is a thread about ANYTHING, trucks, home, work, family, You name it! I also would like to bring up that the 48-60 forum guys hook up almost every Saturday night around 9:00 Pm eastern time for a weekly live chat session here on FTE. I just got done putting a 5-speed in the beast. Now I am fixing all the rust on my cattle trailer (man I hate welding sheetmetal...lol)

 

Even though the chat never shows anyone ever in there- sometimes there is! It still wont show when we are in there so just stop on by. You must use firefox as a web host, internet exploreer wont work FYI.

Well 1st day of november so let the B/S roll!

Today blew! I was interested in 2 auctions today, a plasma cutter from R.G. Drag and an air compressor by my house.

OK the plasma cutter, the sale started at 10 am...I got there at 10:05 and not one, not two, but all 3 were sold!!!!!!!!!!! Cheap! Oh well, there's always the air compressor.

Wrong! Went to the other auction for the air compressor. The sale doesn't start till 1 this afternoon, but it was on my way home. I looked around, and there wasn't an air compressor. So I asked the guy where it was, and just my luck.........IT WAS STOLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy *****!

Top that Bull *****

 

Sorry to hear the bad news, at least the compressor was stolen BEFORE you owned it!

I got the bike out and road all day. Not too cool yet, and I'm sure we'll be out on it tomorrow too. Use up the warm days while I can.

Don't ya just hate auctions. Either sweet deals or screwd. It's easy to see what you got LOL!!! (I'd love to have a plasma cutter myself).

 

Nice day to be out.....working that is...went and picked up a 185 CFM compressor , towed it out to the race track where about 6 others and me blew out the crap in the crack and filled them with sealant , got about half of it done , emptied a 55 gal drum of the stuff, going back to finish up tomorrow.

About half way threw the day discovered a blown coolant tank hose, pin hole made by it hitting the A/C unit...so after getting a ride home, i hit a couple of parts house's to find one, none in stock but Advance is having it shipped in , and hopefully they will have it in the morning, if not it will be McGiever time to get it home...then I will see just much the dealer empties my wallet for one..

Ya, rode the bike to work......last chance. Taking 1/2 day to finish up the leaves in the yard. Had two trees holding on forever and in the last 2 days they dumped!! With 1/2 hour of light at night just isn't going to cut it. That with 5 days of rain/snow coming I need to work while I can. Got plenty of vacation to use up, so I'm outta here at lunch!!

 

I've been plowing gardens all week. I did mine first 50 feet wide by 130 long, then did the neighbors about 40x80 then did his next door neighbor probably 100x100 and today my neighbor wants to do another spot 50x100. My poor farmall cub has really had a workout this week.

I helped my neighbor finish installing an engine in his car. Cant believe how early it is when it gets dark....I mean like 6-6:30.....damn

 

I think winter is close---and the darn leaves are still comin' down!!
Moved all my trucks and cleaned up the effie parts and blew leaves out from the barn.
I always had my leaves cleaned up by Halloween---last few yrs., it has taken a lot longer!!
Sold a 53 to a fte member thursday and now room for more---I loaded up my other 53 for my buddy in Ashtabula to get running. I hope to drive it on nice days throughout the winter.....maybe drive down to Florida and back.
