Just Moved: Need to Find Diesel Shop in the San Antonio, Canyon Lake, Austin Area
I just moved from New Mexico and would like recommendations for any non-dealer 7.3 specialists/shops (or reputable and knowledgeable mechanics for them) that really know these engines. I am located between Canyon Lake and San Antonio, TX.
Would be willing to give work to an individual who knows these engines if you have references.
I have a 2000 2wd 7.3 X
I hope soliciting this information doesn't violate any forum rules and if I did, I apologize in advance.
Thank you.

Texas Diesel Injection on the northeast side of San Antonio always did a fantastic job for me. Once I found them I never took my PSD to anyone else. They are just off Toepperwein which is one exit north of Nacogdoches off of I35. Their web address is www.texasdieselinjection.com . Hope that helps.

If you're looking for something in the Austin area, check out RubberDuck aka Cody. He is also the founder of Death Row Diesel.
Back in june of this year, my hpop was failing and I absolutely refuse to go to any dealer and put up with their terrible customer service and the ungodly amount of money and time they will take to do something. (rant, sorry)
Cody did a writeup on how to replace a hpop and lived within a few hours of me in Spicewood, TX; so I drove up there, the guys there welcomed me with cold beer, got my hpop replaced, even got an '08 diff cover for free, and all they asked in return is that my truck bear the club name : "Death Row Diesel". (which I was more than happy to do )
They regularly work on each others trucks, getting this fixed, installing this, upgrading that, it's really something to be a part of. I'm glad I met Cody and the rest of the boys up there, I'm probably gonna head up there soon, so if you care to join, PM me.

They'd love to see your truck! Be prepared to drink and learn more about your truck than you ever knew....
All you have to do is bring the parts, be sure and hollar at Cody (RubberDuck) so he can work you in.
Where you at BTW?

Gentlemen, feel free to email me with questions. While the diesel stuff is just a hobby, I do enjoy doing it. But my time is pretty limited. So let me know what you are after and we'll get it scheduled. You can email me at cody@deathrowdiesel dot com or codyallen5061@msn dot com I look forward to hearing from you. Just be aware that this is NOT a paying environment, it is my personal shop. I don't fix things that the owner is too lazy to look into. I'm here to help with mods and fixing problems that the owner wants to be hands on with. But I'm sure Razzi (TD) will tell you, sometimes I take the "get out of my way and watch" approach. But if you are a "I just wanna pay someone and could care less about my truck" person, my shop is not for you. LOL Holler at me when you guys get a chance.
And just to elaborate on Razzi's statement. You do not have to carry my logo on your truck. It is your choice. But what IS manditory, is friendship.
