Not new

Hello all, I am not new, but have not been on in a long time. I 1st came on last year when I wanted to know more about the F250. Well, I have found out that it does well for snow plowing.

I went and bought me a 2003 F250 SD SC 4x4 for $7k. I had a SnoDogg snow plow put on it and did some plowing last winter. I like the truck a lot. A little big for me, I am 6' 4" but I am disabled due to a spinal cord injury, but thats why I needed a good truck so I could clear my driveway in these Illinois winters.

Now I have ordered a set of Tow mirrors with power/heat to install. Tho my truck has no power mirrors at the moment, but I am sure I can make it work. I found out last winter that it is hard to roll down a window on the passenger side and clean off the mirror during a snow storm and plowing at the same time! lol and being disabled made it THAT much harder! lolol

well, I better quit rambling and let you all get back to FORD STOUGH!

Hello everyone.

I'm new to the site, but not new to Ford. Currently I have a 2000 F-250 with the 7.3 PSD. I came across this site looking for help on replacing door lock actuators and found exactly what I needed. I look forward to getting more great advice and information from the forums.

Thanks!
Andy

Hello

Found this forum when I was researching my truck before I bought, lots of useful, real world data and experience here.
I have always had a Ford truck... but never a SD until now...
I loved my F150, but I am definitely over it now when I drive my 2008 V10 F350.
I tow an 11K lbs Toy Hauler, which was the reason for the trade, but have yet to tow since the deal was made so I have no idea yet how well it does/doesn't do. My expectations are, of course, high.

Hey Guys,
Definately not new to ford truck ownership (#4 and still have two others), but new to the HD pickup realm. Just thought I'd rejoin the ranks of FTE. Been lurking around in a Mustang GT for the last year and a half or so. So, I recently picked up a 2006 F-250 XLT CC FX-4 w/ 6.0L 43K on the clock. So far I absolutely love it. It's nice to have some respect back on the highway.
So hello all, I'll be around.
I'm still learning about this whole diesel thing but hopefully I'll have stuff to contribute elsewhere.

Smile

Hello Every one. While I'm not exactly new I joined the site at the end of last year looking for more info on my 04 F250. I am relatively new posting to threads. I love my truck have had it since Dec 06(first SuperDuty) and I must say I won't look back. Lookinf forward to do great things in both the engine mods and suttle enhancements to the look of the truck.

sworn in

Hello all, i've lurked around here for awhile but finally was sworn in today. Picked up my f350 from dealer for repairs today and got to pay for headgaskets, oil cooler and reman ficm ($4300.00 and change ). Has never run better since I bought her 5 months ago . Even after the expensive repairs and the cost of the truck, I still love this truck and I am impressed with the power and response of the 6.0l. This is my first diesel in a pickup (drove semi now for 15 years) so I have learned alot on this site and I am glad for all your posts and tech folder. Keep up the good work and I'll be lurking here for years to come.

New to 6LT

My first truck was F-250 1994,7.3Lt,Turbo diesel,2WD,LB that did a fantastic job pulling my 9000LB 5W for 8 years all over North America.
I have traded it for a F-350,2006,EC,LB,6Lt,2wd,completely stock from one owner with 53000miles , will get it in a week and use the truck to pull the 5W plus side trips during summers only.
I started to read on the forum and I must say that now I know how much I do not know...and I need all the help I can get.
I have now 3 quick questions:
A.How to prepare the truck for winter storage (in a closed garage from now till May 2010).
B.Is there anything recommended to install on this stock truck?,I read about By pass oil filter and Coolant filtration system, but not fully understand the benefits.
C.Which engine oil to use?which fuel and engine filters to use?how often to service?
Please feel free to advice on anything else, but try to be specific as it is all new to me.
Thank you.

2003 F250

Hello everyone, I was told about this site by one of my Firefighter buddies. I am having problems with my 6.0 powerstoke not wanting to start after it has been sitting for a period longer than 24 hours. It try will start after I crank it two or three times, letting it turn over about 30 seconds. If I plug it up, it will start the first time after the glow plug light go out. Can anyone help me out. I have been told it might be my glow plugs or high pressure oil pump.

Thanks
