Hello, My name is Brian and I have a 2004 Ford F350 Crew Cab Lariat. I love the truck and it has been wonderful to me. I only have one issue, it keeps leaking EGR Coolant.

I tired posting a new thread in the Super Duty Section but it wont allow me to. My question is, where can I find a power slider assembly for my 2004 F350. My cable snapped and Ford said you had to replace the entire assembly not just the cable. The dealer wants $1400 which I thought was crazy. Does anyone know where I can find one cheaper?

new guy here too............

Hey Guys. I just bought my first truck, and my first Ford. It's a 2000 F350 with the Triton. Six inch Pro Comp lift and 37" Toyo MT's, and a Lock Right locker in the rear. It has Ranch Hand front and rear bumpers and a Ramsey 9500lb winch. It came with 2 spares, a shovel, an extra gas can, and a High Lift jack.

Sorry for the bad pics, but I will get some more up once I get it offroad and actually get some use out of it.

I paid $4500 and this:

Hello and advice...

Hello all,
My name is Jim and I own a few Fords. 2003 f250 XLT 2001 F650 Xl.
I have yet to participate but in the future i surely will...

My 03' 250 has power windows. The driver door has two p/w buttons; left one has "quick" down feature... just touch the button and the windows opens completely w/o holding the button...
MY QUESTION: can I simply replace the right side button with a one touch "quick" down button to enable the passenger window to open as the driver window does? If no than what is needed...

Locking hubs manual tfr shifter on floor:
4X4 dash light fails to illuminate when four wheel drive is engaged.
what should i check first, second... to diagnose the problem.

thank you
Jim

Hey everyone, I'm a fairly new member, I joined this forum when I made the deal on my new truck. I bought a 2009 F-250 srw cc 4x4 and am loving it. It is a serious upgrade from my '98 Z-71. I checked out all 3 major brands and Ford won hands down. Like I tell everyone there is no comparison. I drive trucks for a living and for a pickup this is impressive.

Newer Member Oasis Inquiry

Hello, I'm just a day away from making an offer on a 2005 Excursion 6.0 Turbo Diesel but have not yet been successful in acquiring an Oasis history report. I'm afraid this truck is going to be gone if I don't make an offer, but am hesitant until I can see the history. Any help you can offer me in obtaining an Oasis is most appreciated, thank you.....Graham.

Graham,

Welcome to FTE.

Ask the dealer / seller to provide you with a carfax report before you make an offer if, you can't get an Oasis report in time.

New F250 Owner, real new

I bought my first F250, my first real truck, in April. She is a V10 powered, 2 WD extended cab with an automatic transmission. My wife needed to be able to haul her horse trailer. After a lot of research and searching, we found our 2001, torreador red F250 with about 67,000 miles on her. So far, I have been lurking and reading, trying to learn as much as I can.

Hi Guys,

We just got a 2001 F250 CC Long Bed 2WD 7.3 PSD with 190K on the odometer. It's in great condition for it's age and we expect it will last the rest of our days. We tow a 33 foot 9000 pound travel trailer and we got tired of working a Toyota Tundra CrewMax real hard at 8-9 mpg to tow it over the grapevine into LA and over the Siskiou's into Oregon each year. Several of our friends have trucks with the 7.3's and we didn't even consider any diesel other than a 99-03 7.3 PSD.

One of our friends hauls travel trailers and fifth wheels all over the country with an F350 dually with over 650K on it and another is hauling a Hartland Big Horn 14,300 pound 3385 fifth wheel with an F250 at 11-12 mpg. The numbers speak for themselves in my book.

I don't mind getting my hands dirty and the 7.3 PSD is an awesome motor.

Thanks for all the great info here... what a great site...

Boomer
