Hey all!

2008 F250 Super Duty, 6.4 FX4, Sliver with Black interior.
Not sure why under my name it says 2010...ask I checked the User Control Panel and I have it ticked as a 2008.

Thanks for having me, I hope to bring more than just "me too" to this site. Most forums are riddled with that nonsense.

Hey y'all -

In the market for a truck, and I stumbled across this forum.

I live near New Orleans, and work as a project manager for a construction company.

I have owned nothing but fords (and so has my wife since we got married), and it is time to step up from a half ton to a bigger truck.

I am interested in an F350, and I have a couple of F250's in mind if I can't cut a deal on the F350.

Thanks for the forum (and the oasis service; never heard of it before but it sure will help.)

Thanks,
J

Hi my name is Gary and I'm a ford-o-holic!

I've had my '05 F250 for just over a year now. My last truck was an '88 F150 Single Cab Short Bed 300 Straight 6.

I found this site when I was looking to mod my truck but most importantly I need to get rid of the stupid limited rear end! I threw a plow on my truck last winter & got stuck in the 1st driveway I plowed cause of the stupid limited! My F150 could go anywhere & do anything.

I'm also looking to do plenty of other mods if the price is right, so any help would be appreciated.

Thnx ery1,
Gary

I just found this forum, and am considering a F250 SD. This will be my first truck, and look forward to reading what you all have experienced with your Fords.

Newbie

Hey guys - I just found this forum, had my 2007 F-250 6.0L diesel for just about one year now and I love it!! I pull a trailer and the diesel is awesome here in Utah up in the mountains, etc.

Can someone help me out with a quick question? I am looknig for a stainless exhaust tip and I am finding it difficult to find the right one, the tail pipe is 3.5" in diameter and most I have seen on-line are 2.5" or 3.0" inlets, shouldn't I be looking for a 3.5" inlet?

Well after almost a week of reading the Forum (Super Duty Only), as I worried, lots of me too's and not a bunch of real technical information. I was thinking after seeing a lack of organization in the forum (no sub forums on electrical, drivetrain, motor, interior, exterior) it is not only hard to find much, but numerous questions have been asked, me too'd, gone by the wayside, answered, or forgotten.
I am not the one that will add waste and me too's, so I will follow the rule of thumb, if *I* can't ad anything to the thread...I post.

So now I will go back to lurking. I will however try to ask clear, concise, questions, with details. I will try to ask a single question, with a good clear subject so searching is easy and folks dont have to read 30+ pages to find relivent info.

Thanks all!

We have engine-specific forums, for all the diesels, and gassers alike.

There are other forums for drivetrain, electrical, etc, however, the SD forum does cover SD-specific drivetrain and interior/exterior and other SD-specific subjects.

If we were to sub-divide and become TOO specific, things then get posted in the wrong area, no one can figure out WHERE a specific question should go, it all just leads to more confusion. For instance, does a question about seat warmers go in the interior section, or electrical section? The list goes on and on.

We have a TECH folder for many things, and the SEARCH function can be a big help.

Hi all,

I am shopping for a replacement for my 79 F150, I have had it for a long time and just can't get motivated to rework it again. I have been looking at a used a couple of F250 superduty's with the 7.3 powerstroke and came across this site while I was researching them. Lot's of info to be found I'll keep lurking for now trying learn some things.

I am new to SD and have only had mine for a week and a half but it is great. This forum has been the best resource on the web for all the little things that I have done. It is great to be able to read "what not to do" before I even start. I hate learning things the hard way...gets to be expensive. Keep up the good work!
