Hello everyone, Im new here and looking for some advise of what to look for and what to stay away from. Im looking for an older super duty daily driver and something that can pull a trailer if need be. Preferably like 1990-2000 year model. Manual transmisssion and single cab or extended not crew.
Hello, I am new to the site but I did post one message and got the answer right away,I have not bought the truck I am looking at 6lt 2004 crew cab f250, I did have the 7.3lt in 2001 - 2003 big mistake selling it, now i have lots of questions about the 6lt engine and how good it is, but on this site I am sure to find all the answers.
New to the site. Have a 2001 V10 F250 SD XLT Lariat 4X4, auto, 6'9" bed, ARE cap, 90K, new EBC slotted rotors and green pads, and KYB Monomax shocks. Daily driver/worker. Has some issues that I'll be exploring on the site. I like this place!
CR750
I have been looking for a truck and my research lead me to this site. A lot of great information to be had. I have my eye on a 2005 F-350 dually with a V10.
......Good day there you Colonial type chappies!!!!!
OK, I consider myself very lucky for 2 reasons, 1st being I'm over here with a full green card, & secondly coz I knew/know Jack **** about trucks( we only drive horses'n'carts in England!), but managed to pick myself up a 1999 7.3ltr F-350 Super Duty Dually with 54,000mls on the clock for $9k last year!
Other than new tyres all round, brake pads replaced & rotors skimmed, oil & filter (air/oil/gas) changes,it's been pretty faultless in 20k mls of Las Vegas commuting, & towing our 5th wheel to Canada & back twice, & now spending the Summer in a Portland RV park.
Glad to be with you guys on what looks like a great site!
Hey all im new to forum ....I have 04 King Ranch 4X4 ...LOL the dreaded 6.0 Iv gotover 100,000 on the truck and NO major issues with it....This is my 2nd 350 the 1st was a 99 with a 7.3 I love my Ford...
yep, another newbie! Just wanted to say "hey" to everyone. Never had a Ford before, so I'll probably ask lots of dumb questions. Hope y'all don't mind. But I like my F250 so far. Has a 5.4L 2wd with 39000 miles. It's an '05 and drives real nice.
New to forum, just purchased a 99 f250 v10. Bought the wife a SUV a few years ago to replace our f350 due to addition to family. We both missed the truck, so here we go again. Truck has 365,000 miles and is from pa so it needs a little body work, suspension work and so on... But hopefully with your help we'll be able to make this one as enjoyable as the one we let get away. Worst part is we sold the 350 to my mom in law and still have to see it. At least she loves it as much as we did.
I just made my last payment on a 2004 F250 4x4. Rubber floors, vinyl seats, manual hubs, 6.0 PSD, I bought it new to keep for 10 years. Don't pull anything, but love this truck for hunting, fishing, surfing, mountain biking, work around the house, and road trips with the family.
Last week we shelled out $3,600 for new FICM, ERG Valve and Cooler, Injector, and oil cooler kit. Only 75,000 miles, but 26 days out of warranty, Ford hasn't done anything to help. Now I see on sites like this that the 2004 6.0 is just shy of a lemon. The truck has been great up to this point, serviced regularly at the dealer, but now I'm wondering if I should sell it while it's running.
Thanks for listening. No one else seems to care. I can't bring myself to even look at a Chevy, much less a Dodge. Dazed, confused, and stuck.

If you had a problem child, you would know it by now. Stick around here and learn to do the work yourself and you can save lots of $$$. No need to get rid of the truck.

Welcome to FTE!
I would say that I had the problem child.I had an 03 King Ranch w/6.0 and it stayed in the shop more than I drove it.It was low miles as well and before the warranty ran out I had to unass from it.Ran great when it was right but not right for very long at a time.
Like Chris(F350-6) said, you do not have to get rid of the truck if you stay around here. These folks will help you out and you can do it yourself.I do not get to the 6.0 section of the forum but if they are anything like the folks here you will be in good hands.
My wife has a 07 Dodge w/ the 5.9 and it is a good truck.I have no complaints so far. That is her second Dodge and both have been good.
